My current research focuses on the incorporation of digital and data-driven innovations into urban everyday life and governance. Prior to joining the department, I was a postdoctoral researcher on two interdisciplinary European projects: BRIDGE (FP-7, PI: Monika Buscher, Lancaster University) and The Programmable City (ERC Advanced Investigator Grant, PI: Rob Kitchin, Maynooth University). My research has been informed by Science and Technology Studies, Mobilities Studies and Human/Cultural/Urban Geography, Information Ethics and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). My case studies examine currently emerging digital practices, including social media-enabled crisis response, civic hacking and self-quantifying techniques and were conducted in various global cities, including Oslo, Dublin, Boston and Taipei
